The Lunch on the Grass (2007, Russia) – 8`15``
A Russian video artist, performer and curator, senior research worker of the Kaliningrad State centre for Contemporary art, he participated in various festivals and exhibition projects, such as «The art of torture and execution - the art against torture and execution» (2002, Kaliningrad, SCCA), «Areal_01» and «Long Stories»(2003, Yekaterinburg, SCCA), Art-Klyazma (2004, Moscow), «9 000 km» (2005-06, trans Russian exhibition project). He is the author of a special Body of Paradise project at the New Theatre festival of the Meyerhold centre, Moscow. About his work “Le déjeuner sur l'herbe” the artist said: ”The sun. The sky. The air. A girl. A drink of alcohol and allusions to the Monet painting. The sound is an easy dizziness of talk – as a small bird chirping or a usual conversation between women. Rapidly on everything. Not tiresome or obligatory. Nice. A bit embarrassing because of the steady male gaze “under the skirt”, which the warm wind also helps”.
