A composer, sound and videoartist, he received a private education in classic guitar, flute and composition. A member of the International Art Foundation. Since 2001 active at the Theremin centre. In his work Yakhontov went from improvisation jazz through academic avant-garde and psychedelic music to musique concrete, live electronica, theatre projects andmultimedia performance. He wrote music and video for the major part of the most important contemporary dance productions in Russia for the last three years. Participated in Russian and International festivals from classic – Moscow Autumn and the MIFF to contemporary St. Gallen (Austria) and the Russian Act (London,Singapore), the interactive Altermedium 2003-2004 (Moscow) and contemporary dance Guild (Moscow), Open Look (St. Petersburg), Dialogue (the Netherlands) , etc. In the black-and-white Dee, as if on screens of cosmic devices, there appears an image of a female figure. It is performing a strange slow dance in the weightlessness of a close space…
